Research Establishment Fellowships, co-funded by the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) and JDRF, are available to Fellows and trainees who wish to establish themselves in a research career in the field of type 1 diabetes.

Purpose

To promote clinical and basic research into type 1 diabetes with a focus on

  • Prevent: prevention of type 1 diabetes and its recurrence
  • Cure: restoration of normal metabolism
  • Treat: improved therapy and avoidance and reversal of complications
Eligibility

Australian Fellows and trainees of the RACP, its Divisions, Faculties and Chapters who are either within seven years of having completed a Masters, PhD or equivalent higher research degree; or who have a research higher degree and are within two years of returning from working or studying overseas.

Value

Up to $50,000 for one year
